Astral Doors, die legendäre schwedische Metal-Band, ist seit einigen Jahren von der Bildfläche verschwunden und viele Leute dachten, die Band hätte sich zur Ruhe gesetzt. Doch nach neun veröffentlichten Alben waren die Jungs entschlossen, ein 10. Album zu machen, ein Jubiläumsalbum.

Sie entschieden sich, das Album "The End Of It All" zu nennen, als Reflexion darüber, wie die Welt heute aussieht und um irgendwie zu sagen, dass dies das letzte Album von Astral Doors sein könnte.

Die Aufnahmen fanden in ihrer Heimatstadt Borlänge statt und die Band fand wirklich die Inspiration, der Welt ein neues klassisches Astral Doors Album zu geben. 

Johanssons Texte und Melodien sind wie immer hervorragend und Lindstedt/Nordlund beweisen einmal mehr, dass sie wissen, wie man eingängigen Heavy Metal schreibt. Ist dies also das Ende von allem oder ein neuer Anfang?

Astral Doors, the legendary Swedish metal band, has been away from the scene for some years and many people thought that the band had retired. However, with nine albums released the boys were determend to make a 10th album, an anniversary album.

They decided to name the album "The End Of It All" as a reflection of how the world looks today and to somehow say that this may be the last album from Astral Doors.

The recordings took place in their home town Borlänge and the band really found the inspiration to give the world a new classic Astral Doors album. 

Johanssons lyrics and melodies are outstanding as usual and Lindstedt/Nordlund proves once again that they know how to write catchy heavy metal. So is this the end of it all or a new beginning?
