Musikalisch lehnten sie sich dabei an die Ära der 70er Jahre an, mit Inspirationen von Bands wie Bad Company, Point Blank, ZZ Top und sogar einem Hauch von King's X in ein paar Riffs. Am 28. März 2021 verstarb Neil an einem bösartigem Hirntumor. Hier hätte die Geschichte enden können, aber zusammen mit Neils Partnerin Kathleen beschloss man, dass das Album fertiggestellt und veröffentlicht werden sollte. Der Titel des Albums, \"Cosmic Affect\", war Johns Idee, da es sicherlich etwas kosmisches gab, das diese drei Köpfe dazu brachte, in nur zweieinhalb Tagen ein ganzes Album voller großartiger Songs zu schreiben.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e------------------------------\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt all started on November 29, 2019, when Janne Stark was in Las Vegas with Neil Merryweather to finish the second \"Merryweather Stark\" album. During this time, they were invited to visit the Skeleton Key Recordings studio. There they met drummer John Wackerman. Neil, Janne and John hit it off musically right away and the ideas and inspirations were flowing. Within a few days, 10 outstanding hard rock songs were created. Musically, they leaned towards the 70s era, with inspirations from bands like Bad Company, Point Blank, ZZ Top and even a touch of King's X in a few riffs. On 28 March 2021, Neil passed away from a malignant brain tumour. This is where the story could have ended, but together with Neil's partner Kathleen, it was decided that the album should be finished and released.
